SA: Van Wisse farewelled from SA

ADELAIDE, Feb 21 AAP - Marathon swimmer Tammy Van Wisse was farewelled from Adelaide
today as an official Save the Murray ambassador after her record-breaking swim down Australia's
greatest river.

South Australian Water Resources Minister Mark Brindal bestowed the honour on Van Wisse
at Adelaide Airport this morning.

Mr Brindal said the swimmer had not only proven herself a true sporting champion, but
she had also focused national attention on the health of the Murray by acting as a human
water quality tester.
