NSW: Total properties razed scaled down to 16
The New South Wales Rural Fire Service has reduced the number of homes destroyed bybushfires yesterday, with new figures confirming 16 homes were lost.
Spokesman CAMERON WADE says in Sydney, four homes were razed in the Sutherland/Campbelltownarea and nine in Baulkham Hills, while three have been lost in the Shoalhaven districton the south coast.
Mr WADE says the Glenorie fire in northern Sydney has crossed Berowra Creek, placingthe suburbs of Berowra Heights and Berowra Waters under threat.
He says the fire could spread north to Brooklyn or south to Ku-ring-gai.
