NSW: Australian women reluctant to report rape without injury

SYDNEY, Feb 23 AAP - Australian-born women were unlikely to report being raped by their
partner unless they were injured in the attack, according to a report released today.

Just one in 100 Australian-born women reported sexual assault by their partner unless
they had physical injuries, the Women's Safety Survey found.

New South Wales Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research director Don Weatherburn said
the survey revealed some surprising results.
