NSW: Job acceptance does not affect $455,000 pay-out - Govt
The New South Wales government says claims that former Police Commissioner PETER RYANaccepted a job before ending his contract won't affect his $455,000 golden handshake.
Doubts have been raised over whether Mr RYAN is entitled to his pay-out amid claimsin the Australian that he had a job lined up before leaving his post.
The International Olympics Committee has reportedly said Mr RYAN accepted a job asa security chief to the Athens 2004 Olympics a week before it was announced he'd leavehis job.
A spokesman for Police Minister MICHAEL COSTA says the government wasn't aware of anyemployment offer made to Mr RYAN by the IOC, and it would have had no effect on Mr RYAN'Stermination arrangements.
